Our Story

In 1976 — America’s bicentennial year — we walked out of Denbigh High School and into a 50-year stretch of living our lives. While the nation celebrated 200 years, we were just getting started.

As we get older, the big milestones in life become fewer and farther between.

Over the past 50 years we have had so many life experiences, from getting our first (second, third etc.) job, going to college or trade school, moving into new apartments and houses, finding a partner, raising a family, building a career, developing interests and learning new skills and hobbies. And regardless of what path was chosen, each member of the Class of ’76 has faced joys and hardships since our days at Denbigh.

This is why there is something unique and special about our 50th high school reunion, where we can step back into the roots of who we were and appreciate how far we’ve come while celebrating what we survived and conquered in between.

This reunion isn’t just about nostalgia — though that’s part of it. It’s about connection. It’s about seeing faces that knew you before life got complicated, people who remember you as you were when everything still seemed possible. It’s a rare chance to reflect, reconnect, laugh, and even heal. You may be surprised by the warmth, the stories, the shared memories that come flooding back.

If you’re on the fence about attending, ask yourself this: Will I regret not going? For many people, the answer is yes. Because once the moment passes, it may never come again. People move on, lives change, and time doesn’t wait. Sadly, we have lost a number of our classmates since graduating. You might not get another chance to say hello, to share a smile, a memory or to simply be present with those who shared a unique chapter of your life.

It doesn’t matter what you’ve accomplished or done over the years or where life has taken you. What matters is showing up — for yourself, and for others who may need to see you there. So, let’s do some storytelling and reminiscing.

Everyone wants you to attend!

Shared Memories

Have a favorite memory from your time at Denbigh? We'd love to feature it here. Send us your story and help us build a collection of moments that made our years at Denbigh special.

“On Friday nights finding myself crammed into a car at Peninsula Twin drive-in or grabbing pizza at Dino’s.”
“As a member of Keyettes, I remember volunteering at my first American Red Cross Blood Drive, and I have been a blood donor for many years since.”
“The friendships we made at Denbigh were the real education. Fifty years later, those bonds still hold.”
“Denbigh gave us roots and wings. Time to come back and celebrate both.”
